Every year, DiningRD awards up to ten $500 dollar scholarships in honor of Linda K. Crandall, founder of Crandall Corporate Dietitians.
For nearly 60 years, Linda helped shape the dietetic profession through her work supporting senior living communities and mentoring dietitians entering the field of nutrition. Her career started as an individual consultant for long-term care communities in the 1960s, and over several decades she built Crandall Corporate Dietitians into a nationally recognized company, partnering with senior living corporations across the country to support their dining and nutrition programs.
Following Linda’s retirement in 2024 and the transition of Crandall Corporate Dietitians to a DiningRD company, we are pleased to continue to honor Linda’s legacy in senior living by recognizing outstanding students persuing a career in dietetics, and who are committed to advancing the future of nutrition and related technology.
A Future in Senior Living Nutrition
Many of today’s senior living dietitians discovered the joys of working with older adults while they were still students. Long-term care dietitians have a unique opportunity to lead at the forefront of nutrition, dining, hospitality, and technology, all while improving the quality of life for the residents they serve.
